About Me

First of all i will thank the zidisha team for accepting me to be part of the family. My name is John Lelei Residing in a place called Chepkoilel in eldoret town. I am married and a happy father of 2,my first born child is in class 4 and the other one is in class 1.I was born and educated here in eldoret town. I learnt in central primary school, Wareng high school and finished my 8-4-4 edication system at the university of eldoret. It was 1 year after my graduation that i came up with the business idea of opening up a salon. I used the loan i borrowed from my bank plus the little savings that i had as the starting capital for my business. My hobby is watching movies

My Business

I have a salon in eldoret. My salon is named 'Epic Salon' and it is at sugarland plaza just opposite eldoret police station. I do hairdressing in my salon (majorly dreadlocking) and also sell beauty products. I roughly get 6-10 customers in my salon every day but on weekends this number can rise upto 15. The charges for my services are as follows per client
1.Dreadlocking - $18
2.Manicure and Pedicure-$5
3.Hairdressing $6-20 depending on style
I have employed 4 people in my salon who are hardworking and therefore i like working with them. Everyday i make profits of Kshs (4000-7000).I use the profits that i get to pay school fees for my children and also provide the basic needs for my family. In future i want to be the best saloonist in town and i hope with the help of Zidisha i am going to achieve this

Loan Proposal

I only have two blowdriers in my shop. I was planning to purchase 1 more so that they can be 3 in total hence when i get my third loan i will use it for that project as i can note that the number of daily customers has increased
