My name is Abigail Gyamfi, from the central region of Ghana, and I am a dedicated and determined young lady.
I completed senior high school, which wasn't easy financially but I was determined to be educated and, by the grace of God, I have achieved part of the educational goals that I have wanted to achieve. I also have been able to study to become a pharmacy-counter assistant.
After I completed high school, employment was a major challenge for me.
I had to write many job-application letters, and go to many interviews,
but all to no avail.
So, I challenged myself to create a job for myself. I looked around my community and realized that people depend on imported items very much, because there aren't enough industries here to meet their needs. I, therefore, took it upon myself to learn how to do mini-importation.
I have a mini-importation business. I have customers who are ready to buy anytime my products are in. Mini-importation is really a profitable business.I have a couple of items which a customer has ordered from me and this loan is going to help me a lot in importing them. I will be making a good profit and will invest the profit into the business. I also want to have my own provision store, so while doing my research and online things, I would be selling there, too, which would help me improve my finances a lot.
Hello, dear lenders.
Previously, I had a mini-importation business, but I just got a new job to work as a pharmacy-counter assistant. However, the workplace is too far from where I currently stay and, moreover, the rent for my current place is due. So, it's very logical to leave my current place and rent a new place, one which is closer to my workplace, as that would help me save lorry (truck) fare. It also would save time, as I used to be in traffic for long hours. Therefore, this time, I am coming to you to help me raise a loan to help me pay for two years' advance rent.
The lowest rent I've been able to find is GHC 120 per month. So, in total, I need GHC 2880 for the advance payment.
I would be repaying this loan from my monthly salary.
I always have been faithful to Zidisha and always would be.
Thank you, all.
I can say that Zidisha has really been a blessing to me.
For a while, I had a mini-importation business, which I did with Zidisha's help. Then,
one of the lenders here took care of my education to become a pharmacy-counter assistant. So, I got that education, all thanks to that lender. After that, I got a job as a pharmacy-counter assistant, and that is the work I am doing now.

NOTE: In Ghana, the law allows landlords to collect 6 months' rent in advance, but the reality is that many landlords insist on one year's or two years' rent, up front, even though legally they are entitled only to 6 months' rent in advance. Sadly, this just is how the rental system operates in Ghana. Most landlords in Ghana do require 1 or 2 years' rent in advance. Some landlords even require 3 years' rent in advance!*
*(Landlords can get away with that during the initial term of tenancy; however, afterwards, they are required, by law, to adhere to collecting no more than 6 months' rent in advance. You can read about that, here: https://newsghana.com.gh/facts-ghanas-rental-laws/

hello dear lenders, first of all i want to thank you all for your continues support since i join zidisha. am coming to you once again to help me raise this loan to help me pay a 2 years advance house rent. i just got a new job to work as a pharmacy counter assitant but the work place is too far from where i stay currently and more over the rent of my current place is due. it very logical to rent a new place whice is more closer to my work place as it would help me save lorry fare and also time as i used to be in traffic for long hours.
per my findings, the lowest i can get is GH120 per month. so in total i need around GH2880 for the 2 years advance payment. 2 years becuase that is how the rent system works over here. The landlords do take an advance payment for some years.
