About Me

My name is Cecilia Wangui - born in Central Kenya and later relocated to Mombasa city. I am the first born in a family of three siblings. My parents are small scale business people back home.

I went to primary and secondary school and later joined a college where I did a certificate course in business management. However, I did not secure a job and that is when I decided to start my own business selling wall hangings.

I am married with 2 kids. My husband is also a small scale business man who hawks hardware materials. I am a woman full of desire to succeed and I believe in hard work and being focused in life.

My Business

I started my second hand clothes business eight years ago. Later on, I decided to branch off to selling educational posters and school text books. This has proved to be a wise decision and I have since discarded selling of wall hangings to devote my energy and resources into this new venture.

My take home from this business currently ranges from USD 280 - USD 350 but I am hoping to improve on this figure once I boost my stock with credit from Zidisha. Ultimately, I would like to expand and supply on wholesale basis where customers will have a variety of products.

Loan Proposal

My business has grown by leaps and bounds in the last two years. Similarly, demands from my clients has grown too as they expect to get all their books needs from my roof. This has made it necessary for me to stock a wide variety of books so as not to disappoint them.

This loan will help me with buying a stock of the books that the clients need as well as replenishing the current stock. This will create confidence and help me in attracting high spenders to my business.

My experience will guide me into getting the right copies that I will be able to sell fast and make some good profit.
