My name is Wilson Ricky from Kenya and a husband and proud father of 5 children. We reside in Nairobi.
I was raised up by a single mother- late, who really struggled to make ends meet as she bore when she was very young and did not have a stable job.
She took me to a boarding school at the tender age of 7years old.
On reaching university I studied Business and Accounting.
After university I secured a job at an Insurance Company.
I managed to save up some capital and secured a loan to build rental houses on property that I inherited from my late mother.
This is what I have been surviving on to take care of my families needs.
The houses are in a dilapidated state and it when it rains they leak as the roof is cemented thus they become moldy.
I have tried using waterproof cement but does not seem to work as the roofs are flat hence the water on top of them.
The funds attained from Zidisha will go along way into helping me in purchasing roofing materials to prevent leakages that have been making the houses grow black mold hence becoming inhabitable.
I will also be able to purchase waterproof paints for the badly stained walls.
When funded I will start by fixing one unit at a time, slowly until all the units are complete.
