My name is Brenda Mpundu the first born from the family of 6 children being 4 girls and 2 boys. I live in Lusaka and located in Makeni township west of Lusaka. I started my primary school level at Kalundu Basic School, where I did my primary from grade 1 to 7 primary course until I completed and obtained a Division 1 school certificate. Having awarded a division 1 primary school certificate I was selected as one of the best students to go into form 1 at David Kaunda Technical School, where I completed my form 12. Well, after completing my form 5, it was not easy for me to further my education as I lost my father along way, hence due to financial challenges. Furthermore, after going through some 2 years of joblessness and financial difficulties, I got a job at the restaurant as a waiter and helping out a number of assignments in the running affairs of the restaurant until I was promoted to restaurant supervisor among my workmates. It was during this time that my monthly income was increased and I started saving steadily until, I raised good substantial income to enroll at Silvering catering school of hotel management and hospitality where I studied a Diploma course in hotel management and hospitality. All in all, in nutshell that's I was able to manage to over come or liberate my self from financial challenges to achieve an important goal in my life. Today am an entrepreneur running my a reputable restaurant called 'Matebeto', a restaurant a place where customer can find all food recipes of their choice.
However, in our Zambian set up we live in cultured way considering of different tribal languages in our society. We are cultured to eating our traditional nshima and celebrate our cultural ceremonies. Therefore, having going through a hard times in my early stages of my life, I would like to wish my children to have the best education and become prominent people in Zambia and world over.
During my free time, I love visiting relatives, going for panics with my children and adventurous sometimes and learning new things.
I'm involved in running restaurant businesses, I have two restaurant outlets in the capital city Lusaka, one big restaurant is located in central business and the second restaurant is located in the class of town in called Kamwala town. I need the funds to buy restaurant equipment in the operation of the two restaurant this 2025. I provide different types of food recipes according to customers choices. These are; grilled chicken. t-born, fish, chicken shawarma, boiled chicken, game beef stew, ordinary beef stew, roasted fish, birthday cakes, meat balls and da different variety of vegetables as well Indian and Chinese recipes gravy and foods. Its a reputable restaurant were prominent government officials and all people come to taste our foods. Our foods are of high standard and very useful to people because most people love to eat good food of standard. Choose this restaurant business because I generate income every day and it is very profitable and sustainable. The total cost of operation approximately comes to K 75,000. Covering transport and buying all food types to prepare at the restaurants . The profits made, I pay my workers, rental, electricity bill, reinvestments and home improvements and paying my children for their education school tuition fees.
After opening the new restaurant outlet in second class town, there is need to buy additional restaurant equipment. I need cook stove, Oven, food warmer, braii stand, tables, chair and the chicken shawarma machine. It creat the opportunity for the restaurant to prepare more food recipe for the customers in good time and generate more profits to grow the business.
