Hi members and hope you are doing good. my name is Elizabeth Ogutu from Siaya county. I was born and grew up in Siaya county all through my life. I was lucky to get education up to secondary school. My parents were not financially stable for me to continue with higher level education. I decided to keep myself busy by doing my own business of being a fruit vendor. I am married with two kids whom i pay for their education with small we get. My husband is a construction worker who struggles sometimes and that is why i chip in from income in my fruit vending business.

I got married while young because i could not further my studies and my husband has always been a construction worker. Being a house wife was not helping at all and thats why i decided to support him by doing business. From this business, my family lives comfortably since am able to cater for some bills myself as my husband caters for other demanding bills.

Having been a fruit vendor for quite sometime, I have faced the challenge of some fruits going bad due to poor storage. I will use the funds to buy storage equipment like a cooler box to help me keep the fruits fresh for the customers.
