My name is Barbara Bwalya. I am a farmer of Chisamba area. I grow two types of crops at my farm, including maize and cotton.

I am married with two children. My husband is a retired civil servant and he has now joined me into crop farming.

I grow various types of crops at my farm. I grow maize, wheat and cotton.

I hope to someday become the first female commercial farmer in the country and this is the main reason why I have joined this great community of ordinary people around the world known as Zidisha.

I plan to use the loan to purchase sacks to package the onion that we recently harvested.

We have harvested 1 ton of onion at my farm and we have run short of packaging materials.
