My name is Priscah Jepkemei Born and raised in Eldoret. My parents were subsistence farmers hence I could not continue with my education after finishing highschool. After completing Highschool, I moved to Nairobi where I developed a special interest with landscaping and tree planting. I later started planting ornamental trees for landscaping and grafted fruits.
I have three children 2 girls and 1 boy aged 2 years, 4 years and 6 years old. The two older children are in preschool while the small one goes for daycare when I am at work. I am a strong believer that when you give to the needy, God and the universe will give you more back.
I sell ornamental trees and grafted fruits like apples at my tree nursery along Eastern bypass. People have started embracing landscaping which have increased the demand for ornamental trees. The demand for grafted fruits is also high due to their faster maturity. I will use the funds to increase the variety of plants in my nursery. The profit from my business is used to support my aging parents as well as my Young family. Once a month I also donate to the house for the old charity that houses old people who don't have relatives to look after them.
I will use the funds to increase the variety of trees in my nursery leading to more profit. I will use the profit to support my family and donate some to charity. Because of the increased work, I will create employment buy employing two people to help me.
