I'm George okombo, I was born in 1977 currently residing in eldoret City. I'm a graduate of Education. I currently work as a teacher at Wareng high school, despite being a teacher I practice small scale poultry and crop farming which helps raise money for family upkeep.
I started farming during COVID-19 pandemic due to being jobless and idle.
My farm is performing very well with local schools being my main clients.
My three childrens performance in school is exemplary well and I hope to support them achieve their dreams, if supported with funds my farm business earnings will increase and I will be able to provide for my family.
I am a teacher by profession and very passionate in Farming.
I keep 200 layers for eggs and plant vegetables which I sell at local schools within my area.
My farm is performing very well and I intend to add more layers so to meet the current demand.
I'm currently collecting 160 eggs which I sell at 20 Kenya shillings each.
I spend about 8 to 10 Kenya shillings on feeds per chick hence making a profit of 10 kes from every egg.
If granted support and funds I will be able to expand my poultry farm through buying more chiks aiming to produce more eggs and increase my earnings.
With the funds I will buy 600 day old chiks and chiken feeds, this will benefit my farm as I normally expand the farm through addition of layers chiks, I will later be able to sell eggs.
Thank you for support.
