My name is Boyd Mkandawire a family young man. I live in Luangwa township of Kabwe town. Coming to my education life, while I had challenges in terms of school. My parents died while I was still young . I was kept by grandparents who could not afford to pay me for school fees. Hence it was so difficulty for me to complete my secondary level in good time. My Grandparent were all subsistence farmers that grew food for the family and just a little for sale. My grandfather encouraged me as I was growing to become a strong boy, the importance of farming and how farming is important in terms of food security and how it can help me to make or generate income. I'm an entrepreneur in the area of farming and it is my livelihood and the source of income for my family.
Truthfully speaking am into farming business I grow vegetable crops for home consumption and for sale. I need the funds to buy the chemicals to spray to my crops and the pest control mechanism to help curb the pests destroying the crops at the moment. I rely on farming as the major source of income because I raise income through this business to look after my family and the children. The funds will help me to buy Agrovet products as such as medicines for livestock, piggery and for the crops and the soil. Farming has helped me so much to raise steady income that I never expected before from the time I started the business to date.
The expected profits from the proceeds I do reinvest, pay school fees for my children and help my old grand parents whom am looking after from the funds I generate out of the business.
Mainly I need the funds to buy the pest control mechanism system and the chemical's to help me for spraying the chemicals to the vegetables crops and soil to avoid pests from invading and destroying the crops.
