My name is Consolata Muthoni Wambugu.I am 26 years of age and a mother of 1.I went to school in Ikumali primary school in early 2000 and later proceeded to Rwale high school,where I graduated with a certificate in secondary education.After few months i realized that I was pregnant to my first boy who is now 8 years of age.After around 4 years I went to Nyeri town to look for greener pastures where I secured my first job as cashier in a restaurant.After few months,the corona virus kicked in and the whole country went to lockdown.Life became a little harder as we were all rendered jobless.After few months of being jobless,I got a friend who taught me how to plaint hair,and do make up for ladies .I learned very first such that I could now start making something for myself in her job which was still in Nyeri town.I did that job for a period of around 1 year and by that time the country had began to open up and businesses were beginning to come up again after lockdown.By this time I was already well versed with painting , doing make up and I could do almost all the beauty services .Due to a need to grow and expand I got an opportunity in Mombasa and I left at around 2020 .I started selling men t-shirts .The business at first wasn't that good but I kept on working hard with a hope that someday the business will grow and I was also aware that a new business takes time to create a sensible business.I did that businesses for a period of around 2 years and then I decided to follow my passion which was in beauty and therefore after a thorough consultation I came up with an idea of changing my business to hair and beauty business.During this time,I had saved enough to start this business but I decided to start with the smallest capital and let the business grow by itself.I decide start by painting ladies from my rental house.I also did make up in both my house and in clients houses .I did this job for about 8 months and then I decided to move to Nairobi to look for better opportunities.It is here in Nairobi that I decided to rent a shop and started doing all the services that are done in a salon.I did painting,blow drieng,manicure, pedicure and any other services as per the clients needs.At first ,it was so challenging to get clients but as time went on ,I started creating a goo clientele.Around 2 years down the line I can now brag of a business that is growing each day.

The name of my business is Conso beauty and cosmetics.The name is derived from my second name Consol ata.It is located in Gith,urai 44 in Nairobi.It was started in the year 2022 around August .It is about 2 year s now .It is a hair Salon where we do the beauty services at affordable price.These services include,hair plainting,hair dieng, retouching of dreadlocks, fixing artificial dreadlocks,manicure and pedicure,among other services.Currentry ,I have employed 2 ladies on a permanent basis and 1 on a casual basis .My business has tremendously grown in a span of two years and the number of clients increasing everyday.Despite the tremendous growth,we still face various challenges,that includes but not limited to,high competition from similar businesses around us,Lack of standard charges for services , inflation has lend to many people priorities on basic needs,lack of all the equipment that are needed among other challenges.Mostly, businesses are on weekends and sometimes we experience a business booming on end of months .At the end of the months , people really spends because there is flow of money after employed people receives their salaries.

We also sell beauty products,such as huma hair, Brazilian hair,earrings, fingerings,among others.Sometimesp niwe make good profit in a good day while some days we only make enough to pay the bills mm

We have different packages for make up.We have full make up,bridal make up and others depending on clients preferences.

Sometimes we have offers on weekdaysom to encourage and our customers to continue coming .

Due to high cost of living and other factors such as inflation, competition from people with the same kind of businesses,high rental cost among other factors,are among the reason that I have not been able to save enough to restock.Zindisha organisation has come exactly at the right time when I really needed some funds that will help me to move 1 step further and with a lot of hope to move even more steps further in future .In this case,the little funds that I will get will be put in the right use in growing my business.The following is the break down of how I will use the funds.

1.I will purchase small earrings and stads.worth ksh 1000.These earrings and stands can go up to ksh 20 bob in whole sale and can be sold for up to ksh 50 ,thus giving me a good profit.

2.I will purchase a kit of artificial nails worth ksh 1000 .This kit could Make me a profit of up to ksh 2000 which is a good profit.

3.Finally I will purchase necklaces and chains for ksh 1000 .These chains and necklaces are highly demanded nowadays and it is only prudent that I invest in the same .I can make up to a profit of around ksh 2000 .The total profit that I will make from this restocking will firstly go back to the same.

It is my hope that this funding will help me grow progressively since I plan to always invest back from the profit that I will be making.I wish to be able to pay back this fund in good and agreed time so that I can increase my fund limit in future for the next project,and also help other people like me who are also looking for funds to invest and fund their projects.In future I wish to contribute some money to this organization to help other needy people from this this organization ,to grow my business so that I could also be a lender.
