Grace Simunyama is my name, I come from Monze district, chief chicheleko. I grew up in the copper belt province in Chililabombwe town.
I completed my grade 12 at Chililabombwe High School successfully and obtained a very good certificate.
The challenges and hardship, I went through was after completing my grade 12, I did not have sponsors to help further my education. Therefore, I kept dreaming about dream, My was mainly to study Pharmacy and open my own pharmacy in our community. I started working as a house maid in one of the residential areas in town, my desire was to raise some money to help me pay for my tuition fees in my Pharmacy program. I worked as a house maid for 2 solid years just to raise enough money.
However, after raising enough money I stopped working and I enrolled as student at Chililabombwe College of Health studies. I studied for my Diploma course in Pharmacy and I graduated successfully.
Due to the desire and the interest I have always had to ran my business, I applied for youth empowerment fund under the Ministry of Sport, Child and Development. I was given a grant of a good sum of money which enabled me to open a Pharmacy in our community.
Our culture encourages early marriages, when a girl reaches puberty, they are subjected to early marriages and for the land itself, it is a mixture of people especially that I live in the border town of Kasumba Lesa near Congo Dr.
As a woman, once I have children in future, I wish my children to get the best education and attain the highest level of education in our country to foster economic development.
My hobbies, is that I love travelling, watching movies, visiting relatives and during my pastime I love adventure and discovering new things.
I have a Pharmacy shop in our community that needs your support. In our community, there is a break out of the tropical disease called malaria and HIV pandemic which has hit, the community. Hence I want to buy antvireo drugs and mosquito nets so that the people in the community can buy to prevent them dyeing from malaria and HIV pandemic due to most people having multiple relationship which also caused the spread of HIV pandemic. I stock and sell different medical drugs to support the lives of many people in our community and I also offer antenatal advise to pregnant women in our community. I need a total amount of K 30,000.00 to procure the malaria drugs, mosquito nets and antivirus drugs for HIV pandemic, as this will reduce the spread of HIV in our community.
In this business I make and generate K 5000.00 as profit per week, hence per month, I make over K 25000.00.
The profits I make is to support my family and have three meals a day, expansion of the business and support the vulnerable in our community.
Currently due to heavy rainfall, there has been a break out of the tropical disease called Malaria in our township due to many streams around the township as such there is high demand of mosquito nets and malaria drugs for the people to treat themselves from malaria which is a dangerous tropical disease. To avoid most people from dyeing prematurely there is need for to curb this disease by buying more mosquito nets and malaria drugs for the people to buy and cure this deadly disease. My pharmacy will generate money and grow the business and take care of many patients in our family and the community at large.
