I was born as a second born in a family of 6 at a village in Narok county. As a girl in the village, my Education was not without challenges. My father was advised not to take me to school as I will get married and leave home. They prefer educating boys only but I thank God my father didn't follow the community advice and took me to school. After KCPE I was taken by an NGO for fear of early marriages and sponsored my education until I completed college and graduated with a diploma in pharmacy.
I was later employed for 5 years where I got the capital and partners who helped me established my pharmacy at a shopping center in the village. I want to give back to the community as I was also helped by the NGO.
My business entails selling medical drugs to patients. Our public hospital which is about 20 kms away, their pharmacy is always empty without drugs. I decided to chip in providing the drugs for my local people at low prices.
I source my drugs from Nairobi where the prices are relatively cheap and sell to other pharmacies and to people directly. I use the profit to support my Young family and my siblings. I top it with the profit from my farming business. I don't make a lot of profit like my friends in big towns, but I am glad I am helping my community.
I will use the funds to increase my pharmaceutical supplies in order to ensure my people are healthy. The people in my community relies on me greatly on , medical needs. This will also increase my revenue
