Douglas Sikazwe is my name and I live in Kitwe's Parklands area. I come from the family 4 boys only and my childhood life has been not easy due to many circumstance's surrounding my family. My father is a disabled person and my mother is blind. Our lives as a family and my siblings has not been easy at all especially paying of school fees. Being the second born in the family this did sit well with me as I was very intelligent at school and dropping out of school at a tender age, really discouraged as I could see most of friends in community going to school.
However, after thinking twice time and again what I could do, I started mending car tyres and putting pressure on vehicles with slow punctures so that I could make a living out of it, 6 months down the line after realizing a bit of income. I ventured into making local water dispenser stands that made me make good income and went back to school. Today I have completed my grade 12 and now enrolled at the Copper belt University in the school of engineering. After inventing the local water dispenser by of the community who supported my project that's how I started the business of making local water dispenser. Following the hardships I went through, I have endeavored to work hard to bring about the best of my children in their education in future. My hobbies is I love watching football and mainly inventing new discoveries things that could add value to the people of the community and contribute positively to the economy of the country.
I have invented the local water dispenser where I make the local water dispenser stands and I buy water buckets which I sale to the people of the community where I live in especially restaurants, schools and the household homes for the people. These Local water dispenser are very much useful for the people of the community especially school children who play in dirty places to wash their hands to keep hygiene and those people using public toilets'. I choose this type business because I saw the need the usefulness to bring to the people of my community and general public at large. Today it has become a great source of income that has made return school to study engineering at the University. Through this skill that is genetically in born in me, has also brought opportunity to the youths to get employed at the workshop to assist me and for them to earn a living. Therefore, I need make 1000 water dispenser to supply in schools this January and therefore, I need funds to buy materials. My typical cost to achieve this project is.
1. I need K50,000.00 to buy the Iron bar for making the water dispenser stands.
2. I need K 20,000.00 to the electrical cables
3. I need K 25,000.00 to buy the water buckets.
The profits made out of this project to first to pay for tuition fees at the University, help my siblings also pay for their school fees, my disabled parents and reinvesting in the local water dispenser to grow the business and home improvements.
I'm requesting for these funds to help me make more water local dispenser to be supplied in school in next two when school are opening. The funds needed will be used to buy the water buckets, steel bar for making the warer stands and the electronical cables for connecting to the water stands. It will create hygiene schools and the community and therefore generate more for the business and support my family financially.
