My name is David Ondara Okindo, 37 years of age, am an employee and employer at the same time beacuse I have a small business . I live in Nairobi, Kenya. I am a Tourism professional in Kenya and I like helping others by supporting their initiatives.
My source of income is employment however i have a small business which am struggling with,i have a barber shop and food cafe . The business have been running for sometime now, i started with the food cafe before opening a barber shop, but considering the economic slow down in Kenya, the business faced some challenges sometimes back but now it's doing a bit better. I have used Zidisha before and they came through for me in my business. I will continue using Zidisha whenever I need financial help.
I will use the funds to buy new iron sheets to repair the restaurant that I haved been operating for quite sometime now. Because of the recent downpour we are experiencing in Kenya currently, my business premise is leaking and thereby making it hard for me to run the business.
If I repair the roof, the business will continue to serve our customers proper and therefore, I will be able to to get money to run my family such as paring school fees for my kids and the kids I sponsor back in my village, buying medication for my sick parents, and also able to continue educating my siblings.
