Francis Mulenga is my name aged 25 years of old. I live in Zambia Compound in Chambishi Town of Copper Belt. I grew up with both parents who were minors working for Chambishi Mining Company at the time. Originally, I grew up born in Chambishi Town and I raised very well by parent. My childhood up bring was super as I kept very by my parents.
SCHOOL & ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
I went to Chambishi Mining Trust School where I did my grade 1 to 7, my primary course until completed and I was awarded my primary school certificate. Due to my hard work in grade examinations I was selected to go to Mufulira Secondary School to my form 1 to 5. My performance was exceptionally well and scored higher marks and one of the students who awarded a scholarship to study at Zambia Institute of Business studies & Industrial Practice. While at College my I performed extremely well and passed my Diploma course with a Distinction A+ to the surprise of lecturers and my fellow students.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
I hold a Diploma in Business Administration, following my success of hard work during the tenure of school work, I was privilaged to offered a Job . I'm currently working with Airtel Zambia a Telecom Provider of mobile network and mobile internet and I do earn a monthly income. Business of a business background and while at I have always though of establishing my own business and become my own boss in future. After I got a job with Airtel Zambia, I opened a savings account, where I have been saving some money which led me to opened a mini mart or grocery shop in our community to be earning additional income besides my job.
LAND & CULTURE
I live in a mining land in the copper belt town and most people work from the mining companies. I also see most of our people involved in farming activities due to fertile land. Our is one such a unique one which allows girls to get married fast and they forced to stop school and only boys are allowed to finish their school at working to provide for their families. Our culture is a culture of different tribes with ethic languages.
HOBBIES
Since growing up as a boy, I have always loved playing football and swimming. Hence during my free time I go to football ground with my friends to play football and after that go swimming .
I ran a grocery shop in our community and there is demand of the ice cream machine, refrigeration for cooling the the soft drinks and perishable goods such fresh milk, sausages, fresh fish, beef stew, dressed chicken, in shot all perishable goods. That is the main reason I need funds to improve the business and more profits. Mostly I sell consumable good in my grocery and at an affordable prices and the demand is very high from the people of the community and hence I want the shop to be one stop grocery by providing all the goods required by the customers to increase sales revenue and make more profits today. My typical cost is I order all groceries such eggs, bread, milk, butter, tissue, soap, detergents soap, washing soaps, cooking oils, sugar, and vasciline and body lotion it cost me K 65,000.00 and out of this, I earn the profit of K 15,000 per month of which I use the funds to pay for the shop rentals, house rentals, pay my children school fees and reinvesting especially on of stock grocery items.
The funds I need in my retail shop, I want to buy the ice cream machine as there is demand of ice from the customers within community, as this will bring me additional income. I also need a refrigeration for preserving perishable such as dressed chicken, sausages, milk, butter and cooling soft drinks. I will raise more income and grow the business that will enable my family to improve the living standard of my family and create more business to the people of our community.
