Am Esther wanjiku nyoro born and raised in Kenya Laikipia County a village known as karandi in a family of 4.
We lost our dad at the age of 3 being left with a single mother who was unemployed to cater for our daily and education expenses all by herself hence life becoming difficult even according a meal was not easy.
Despite the challenges and support from my elder siblings I managed to get education I achieved a bachelor's degree in business management finance and banking but getting a job became a challenge and and I started doing horticulture farming mainly cabbage and other vegetables
In my cultural area the climate is favourable for horticultural farming that's why I developed interest in farming and I also need income to cater for food and education for my kids who would want to get good education to be doctors in future
I intend to do large scale farming for cabbage, potatoes kales and spinach if an lucky to get funds from you which will be supplied to local and international markets
I require to buy farm inputs such as diesel pump and water pump and diesel for irrigation which costs around Ksh 200 000, I also require pesticide pumps seedlings, leasing a bigger portion of land as well as labour which will cost approximately ksh 500 000
Am passionate In farming and I have tried it in small scale and the returns are promising.
The cost of setting up the project is around Ksh 1 000000 whereby I will be getting a monthly income of Ksh 300 000 With a profit of Ksh 160 000 which I will re invest in the farm to increase the size of the project as well as education to further my expertise in agricultural sector.
