My name is Thomas Chilunda. I live in Lusaka located in along Mumbwa Road in Garden House Township in Lusaka. I grew up with my Uncle who raised me up and sent me to school. I come from a family of 6 children and am third born child. I went to Matero Boys Secondary School where I completed secondary and obtained a division one grade 12 school certificated. Therefore, due to my good school results I was awarded a scholarship at the University of Zambia in the school engineering and successfully graduation with my first bachelors degree. Currently am studying for masters degree under distance learning at the University of Zambia. Am an entrepreneurs, I started running my own business after working for Mopani Copper Mines in Kitwe as a superintendent and this was in 2018, when I registered my business company with Patents and Companies Registration Agency {PACRA} a body under the ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. I did a company named Fernando Block Construction Limited, dealing in block making. I live in the land that is rich and fertile in the farming of maize and vegetables and I live in culture where we believe in walking on the water. I love watching football as one of my greatest moments during my free time or pastime. I wish my children to become lawyers, accountants and doctors.

I have a small company which is fully registered called Fernando Block Construction Limited situated in Garden House- Lusaka West. I have a hydraulic machine for block making. I making thousands of blocks for sale. In addition, I also make pavers and the different construction materials such house pillars and different flour pots. Block making or the blocks mainly are target for companies, business houses and individuals constructing houses around the community. The blocks highly on demand and generally sale very fast. I went into this business because it gives me good profits. Since 2018, have been running this business due good revenue. In order to make this business a great success, you need the following; 50-100 tines of Quarry dust which will cost ZMW 85000.00 , cement you need ZMW 500 pockets which will cost roughly K 65,000.00 and many other expense but to mention but a few.
Mainly the profits made out of this business, I have to pay salaries for the machine operators and the helpers monthly, reinvest the money in paying raw materials mainly need in the construction of blocks, pay taxes and annual returns to operate efficiently as a block making company. Of Course home improvement is the key and paying of school fees and supporting my other family members in need.
Following the expansion of business and the rising in demand for block making, I need funds to purchase a hydraulic machine for block making, that will produce thousands of blocks per hour to help me meet the demand to people in our community who are currently building and companies constructing warehousing. I need at least K250,000.00 to finance this project of which I will be earning K50,000 per week as profits. The profits made will be used to pay wages to my workers, support my family members who vulnerable children and also improve my well being and the stanard of living.
