My name is Lillian Wasonga ,currently I stay in Kisumu county at a place called Seme .I opened my shop at Akal market at the beginning of this month of September and pastry business. Have passion in Retail and pastry industry.

My parents were both teachers ,but my father owned a hotel and often during holidays l had to assist at work ,thus l developed a passion for cooking and so the desire to run a bakery in future.

After college l began a retail shop that developed into a mini supermarket but closed after l ran into financial and health issues and was down for over four years and underwent 2 surgeries.

Am making a comeback to business and have used little resources to open a shop again.

I run a deport where l supply bread from a renown bakery, festive bread choose festive brad because of the brand and quality of their products is one of the best in the market.

Alongside the bread , l use the same motorbike we use to distribute brad to distribute our donuts .

at the shop we sell our donuts ,bread and cakes at retail and wholesale to other retailers at the market.

as we increase our capital we are introducing our cakes ,both small and occasional cakes such as birthday and graduation cakes.

currently cakes are sourced from Kisumu or Bondo towns which are over 20 kilometers away.

I am driven by the desire to produce quality affordable pastries to the local families both for their breakfast needs and refreshments.

we intend to also serve our customers with fresh juice and sodas at the shop.

currently we serve our shop from our bakery at our kitchen a few miles away. We have a charcoal oven , a domestic oven and a table mixture.

currently the income from the shop supplements my daily needs, I hope to pay for my 3 kids and to invest for my retirement.

I will purchase ingredients to increase donuts production to be sold both a the shop and supplied along with the bread. Thanks
