My name is Dominic, an entrepreneur based in Kenya. A graduate of BSc Agricultural Economics from University of Nairobi. After many uncertain contractual job opportunities I decided to venture into self employment kind of business. I decided to use the little savings I made from my last contract to venture into the business. The location is ideal for this kind of business as it is located in a suburb to Eldoret City with influx of 5000 students annually. This place hosts Koitalel University,KMTC and many social amenities making it ideal for business. Categorically, Footwear is a clothing which falls under essential goods one cannot do without.
We are physically located in Kenya a growing town called Mosoriot. My business mainly deals with selling different brands of shoes as a retailer. I started my business with initial running capital of Ksh 50000 in July 2024 earning a profit of Ksh 15000 as a break even to running costs. My costs includes rent, food, transport and electricity bills totaling ksh 40000. Since then I can say the business is bearing fruits as I'm anticipating a profit of Kes 100000 from sales worth Kes 300000 from running capital of Kes 450000 which i managed to raise from family and friends this Dec. This coming January of 2025 I'm planning to employ 2 youths male an female and God willing double running capital to Kes 1000000. Therefore, I'm humbly seeking to raise at least Kes 500000 from this platform. In future I'm planning to buy land to startup a agribusiness orchard farm of export crops.
Reinvest back to business to maximise on economies of scale. This will enable the business earn daily profits of ksh 120000 hence enable buy land that I'll use to establish an orchard for export crops
