My name is Sophie Wakio an upcoming poultry farmer. I am the first born in a family of six. I'm an economics diploma holder with passion in entrepreneurship. I'm also newly married and preparing way for a brighter future. I am turning 26 year old towards the end of 2024. I am new to farming and has a start up poultry farming business. I have passion for online writing too which I look forward to use as a complimentary to poultry farming.
After getting married, I had to leave Nairobi to the rural areas of Kirinyaga. I had a struggling shoes business which I had to close down too. After staying here for a few months doing analysis on gaps available that I can venture in, poultry farming is still not tapped exhaustively. I have developed passion for it after buying 4 layers and a cock . I'm looking forward to a thriving poultry business in the near future. I am also an academic writer. Our hometown Kiamutugu and village has several jobless youths whom I look forward to empower through my experience. I look forward to acquiring a laptop and own an online writing account. This way I will be able to employ myself and create employment for a few. I have started with 5 chicken as a pilot project. I also don't have a modern structure for chicken rearing but started with what I have. About online writing I use my phone right now and it's limiting my work. I look forward to investing in a new laptop and advance into a cyber, once my poultry business thrives. I also would like to invest in knowledge about other courses like data analysis, data entry, forex trading and Virtual assistant course. I believe that here in zidisha I will get backers that can support me to realize my dream and dreams of jobless young men and women. This way they can also transform life of others.
With the funds I will be able to enroll for a for virtual assistant short course which costs 3,000/=. The rest I intend to expand my poultry project by buying 15 one month chicks at 150 each and feeds
