My name is Mercy Chemutai. I was born on 21st November 1983 from the village called Sosit in Narok County.I am the firstborn in my family of six siblings.
I enrolled to nursery school in the year 1987 to 1988,I joined primary school in the year 1989 to 1996 and later joined Siwot Polytechnic in the year 1998 to 1999 for tailoring course.
The hardships and challenges I came across is since I was coming from humble background ,I didn't managed to join Secondary School despite I had qualified in my primary education because there were no fees hence I had to join Polytechnic. Another challenge is that I lost my parents which made me to struggle harder inorder to pay fees and cater food for my young siblings since I was the firstborn in the family. I had to move around the community searching for job like digging and washing clothes which gave me money for school fees and food.
I started my business after my siblings had completed their education since I had get chance to save some cash. I decided to start my business because my children were growing and they need education too. I used the capital of 60000kes I had to start my business.
I am coming from the community or land where the weather is cool and wet favourable for tea plantation where most of the people ar are tea growers.Tea plantation is mostly cash crops in our area.
I am married and have four children,two boys and two girls. Firstborn is a girl called Faith therui,second born is also a girl called Jackline Jebet, thirdborn is a boy called Kelvin Koech and last born is a boy called Brian Kibet.They are in different Secondary schools and primary schools. I am working hard to get them better education.My firstborn wants to be engineer,second born wants to be teacher, thirdborn and lastborn wants to be doctors.
My favourite hobbies and interests are, I like leading in music during church services, I like doing evangelism, I like attending Sunday school for teaching, I like swimming and helping the needy.

My business deals with sewing and selling of clothes. I offers service of sewing all kinds of design in clothes. I also do buy and sells ready made clothes.
I decided to run my business because it is much better than getting hired. I also chose to run this business because it is my career. I had skills and experience.
The total cost in my business I used as capital was 60000kes. I used 12000 to buy sewing machine, I used 15000kes to pay six months rent,I used 30000kes to buy different materials and used the remaining balance of 13000kes to buy ready made clothes for sells.
I am using the profits I am getting from my business to pay school fees for my children and most needy orphans,I used to support any function in the community, buy plots and do investments.
I will use the funds to buy materials for sewing school uniforms,I will buy for sewing shorts,trousers, games kits and shirts.I will these because this is the season for school opening hence there is high demand and thus I will earn more profits. Thank you very much for the loan.Regards.
