My name is Idah Chibwe, born 1st June, 1999. I am a successful Zambian young lady. I live in the central province of Zambia in Railway compound in Kabwe. Kabwe is formerly known the broken hill town due to its historical background.
In my early stages of life, I grew up with challenges due to the loss of my parents at a tender in Kabwe. I grow up and I was raised up by my grandmother.
My grandmother was a street vending woman who was selling some merchandizers just to find ends meat. By so doing she was raising a bit of funds to pay for my school fees. I was a very hard girl at school, knowing how she use to struggle to find money, it was my desire to work extra harder and pass my school exams. Despite many challenges I went through, I successfully completed my grade 12 or form 5.
Currently, I hold a bachelor's degree in Library and Information Studies. I started working for Zambia Electricity Corporation Zesco as Records and Information Manager. While working for Zesco, I really proved competent on my position and I was promoted to station manager and my monthly income increased.
Looking at where am coming from and the challenges I went through, I have had the desire and passion for business since I was a small girl, while living with my grandmother. I own a Library in the central of town in Kabwe and the Library needs computers and extension of space to accommodate more clients for their studies and research.
Kabwe town is generally is a mining town rich in the mining of Cobalt and Zinc, the land is also rich in farming activities.
Iam a mother of two children, I wish my children to get the best education. I have one boy who is interested to become an engineer and the female girl who wants to become a medical doctor.
During my leisure time, I spend my time in the Library supervising work and the smoothing running of the Library. I like cooking and watching movies.
I have a Library which I ran and due to high demand of students and the general public at large, I need space extension in the Library and extra computers to accommodate or meet the demand of customers. The funds are mainly for space extension and to buy 5 extra computers. I choose Library services business to allow students in my community to have a good conducive environment for their studies and research to pass their examination with very good results.
For 5 computers, I need to helped with K 35,000.00
Space extension , I need to helped with K25, 000.00
Hence, I will need the total of K 60,000.00 to support this project in the education sector for the people of our community.
Due to the rising in demand of pupils, students and the general public, I need to buy 5 additional Library computers to support and accommodate more students. I need space extension of the Library because of demand the Library tables and chairs are becoming a few each day hence the need for space extension as this will enable me to generate more income. These funds will be used in various ways, expansion of the Library, buy good reading books for students to study and the facility will support the children in our community to their research accordingly and pass their examinations.
