My name is Mutai Benard, I was born in Eldoret county at a village called Kimumu.I am 32 years old, I am happily married with three children. My wife is called Judy.I attended Action primary school in our nearby community its a public school and later joined Tengecha boys high school where i performed well and joined Kenyatta University ,because I did my best in high school i was able to get government scholarship for my education. In University, i studied Bachelorin business of commerce.My family was not able enough to pay school for me because there were other children in different schools. I was coming from humble background. My parents had no jobs and we had a small piece of land.The good luck i had was that I was a church boy,where I was a choir leader and thus members of my church assisted me alot in paying my schools. After I completed my school and married I was promoted by members to be church chairman.
After completing my university,i was not able to secure job immediately, this is due to there is unemployment in our country has been a big challenging problem,but I didn't give up because i had a good dream.I started a small mobile business of selling goods like groundnuts, biscuits, sweets,bubbles gums,and other snacks. I was moving from one place to another, especiallywhere there's functions.I chose this type of business because my capital i had at that time wad enough for that business. I had inherited a van from my late father.
The business support me well for many years till I got married to my wife. And so we continued benefit from the small business until my church members organised a small fundraising for me to grow my business.
I was able to raised 4300kes of which it's was a huge capital for me.I used the money to erect a small shop in our community so that i can stay and sells goods at my shop.I used some of the amount to build shop and some to buy goods.I bought some of the goods I didn't have to add my stock like foodstuffs and other households goods.At the moment, my business is still growing but I do have a challenge of capital of which I do hope you will support me expand my project. I like this business because I did a research and I found that this can do better for me.Also before I started this business I did a very good research like asking people about the business, looking for conducive environment and and market.
Currently I do sell goods like soda,perfumes, soaps,sugar,rice,cooking fat,oilments,snacks,cakes,biscuits, sweets and maize flour.Thanks
Since currently I have seen that there is high demand for food because in this season there is shortage of food in most families,I decided to add more stock so that I can earn more profits in this season.I will use the funds to buy maize flour, rice,tea leaves, sausages,unga ngano and sugar.I will use my profits to pay school fees for my children and buy food for orphan children.Thank you for your support.Rgards
