About Me

My name is Naomi Phiri, am a Ngoni by tribe. I come from Eastern Province of Zambia. I live in Kabwe the central province of Zambia. I completed my education in Lusaka and moved to Kabwe for further trainings. I have two children and am married. Iam a subsistence farmer and it is the main source of my livelihood for me and my family. I also hold a Diploma in Agriculture Science which I studied at Mulungushi University in Kabwe. My aim is to further my education in the same discipline of study because am involved farming business and am doing very well and I want to do more by acquiring a bachelors degree in Agriculture Science. Further more, my parents inspired me to engage myself in farming business and that is how, I also became a subsistence farmer and I want to develop in this so that I can impact my children and my family with food security.

My Business

Am seriously involved in farming business. Am a subsistence farmer, I grow and sale different farm crops. I grow maize and a variety of vegetables which gives me daily income. I choose the nature of business because it is the main source of food security for my family and the main source of income. Through this farming business and the profits made have used to sponsor myself to further my education , pay the children school fees and home improvement. Apparently am looking for more additional funds to buy garden tools and the farming inputs to be helping me to cultivate the farming and grow more crops sale and for security. During the farming season of 2023 to 2024, Zambia has experience drought season where most areas received poor rains. Hence the Government is encouraging every one to start farming especially irrigation method so that people can have food security in the country and to sale some of it out of the country. So far this sector of business has become very important to all citizens in the country. Am so dedicated and committed to develop and improve my business by injecting more to buy farming equipment at the farm to enhance good crop production.

Project Proposal

Am requesting for this loan to buy the pesticides and herbicides to destroy the insects that are destroying or killing the crops. Insects such as armyworms and the aphides, have spread in the vegetable and maize fields killing and destroying the crops. The purpose of buying these chemicals is ensure I have a good crop production for sale and for consumption. Your support and effort my backers, I will be highly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.
