Hello Everyone,I am Chris Kingori, a Gospel Minister and an entrepreneur from Kenya. I'm from a very humble background in a village deep in Kiambu County. My Parents were blessed to have 3 children, my sisters and I.
Our mother was a primary school teacher where she accidentally fell into a water pond in school, drowned & passed on in 1992. I was in High school back then. My father was a farmer and I can say we survived by grace. He passed on some 20 years later in 2012. My secondary learning was a big challenge to us as my mother's salary would be used to pay for me and she was no more, luckily her benefits were paid and my whole school fees was paid. In 1995 I cleared school and in 1996 I joined some friends who gave me some temporal employment to later become permanent. While working here I enrolled myself in 3 colleges and did a driving course, & worked with them faithfully for 8 years. To date when they get much work they call me to assist.
Later on I moved from Nairobi to the central rift region of kenya where I wanted to open a flowershop but things were really hard in terms of rent and new town challenges. It's then I got employed as a security guard in 2006 september. I once again worked in dedication and my boss promoted me to be the regional manager of the company I was guarding.
The 2007 post election violence affected us and had to move towns. I love farming & leased land for farming cabbages, chilli ,Kales , spinach, french beans as well as source carrots and any other fresh produce my buyers would like. Most of my clients were sellers. I had 3 cows for a dairy farming project which with God's help I will still do in the near future.
I am currently running a funeral Services shop in the Capital City. I realized how hard it is to get a reliable funeral Service provider who can give quality and so I decided to be one. This is what I'm currently doing, God willing I will expand to other towns.
As I mentioned earlier, I have since left to the capital city and I'm running a funeral Services shop offering quality coffins and caskets, wreaths, hearse services, portraits and Eulogies. The business is picking up that means with sales from the store I could be able to pay my loan on a weekly basis.
I have the will to bring quality reliable send off services and packages Countrywide by Opening more branches. The kind of service many would not want to relate with but it's worth getting someone peace of mind and heart in their darkest hour of need.
My Coffins and caskets are made from locally available materials such as boards and timber. We also do spray for a clean smart finish.
I have a few clients who buy I'm wholesale and I'm working on marketing my work the more both online and offline. I am seeking some funding to help me expand to a new shop as well as increase my stock. Thank you lenders for accepting to assist me, I promise to keep my repayment schedule clean and constant.
AS mentioned earlier in my Business profile i have 3 incalf(calving) cows which i have been working on for a while now for a dairy farming project ,whose prospect is to make it a Dairy Products farm line with value added and high quality products.I intend to do proper record keeping for my animals, from breeding to output of each animal,to silage making all the way to finished products.I have with the profits from my previous loan been able to lease 3 more acres of land, ploughed and have planting trenches done ready for fodder crops planting which will after 3 months be ready for silage making. The silage will help me cut down costs in commercial feeds. There will be no waste as the remains will be also chopped for easier feeding.
With time i am looking at selling 2 of my current cows and buy a higher producing breed, which gives roughly 30-40 litres of milk daily.I will then have gone through the records of the cow .From that cow the offspring will all be pedigrees with records kept for each,i am looking forward to having 25 or more high producing cows in the next 3 years, which translates to me doing value addition to milk.A litre of milk retails for about USD 0.5 (Kes 60) while if i did yoghurt from the same one litre it can fetch about USD 2(Kes 200) or more. That then means, quality guarantee, income guarantee, food security, empowered community as i will employ several workers from growing the feeds,to sheds, milking, data entry and records to value addition, packaging and marketing. It will be a whole line of production and employment.
I am also looking forward to registering as a breeder for high yielding cows as well as turning the farm into a training field for farmers and agricultural institutions, meaning every cow being sold from the age of 6 months will bring in about USd 500,and the training per person will cost about Usd 10 per 4 hours session.
With you lending me the requested amount,i will be able to buy planting seeds(maize) which will cost roughly Usd 60,then fertilizer and irrigation Usd 70 and silage making polythene for Usd 27.Thus i will be able to produce more for less time and cost effective as i will have cut down much of my daily costs. I will have done inter cropping with spinach, which grow fast and in a month i should be able to sell, hence sorting out my weekly loan repayment and running costs.I will be glad to have you partner with me in this huge vision as we start and see the far the brands can spread.Thank you very much.
