My name is Billy Bwantu. I live in Siavonga town. I am married with four children.
I run a shop where I sell various types of agricultural products, such as fertilizers and Seeds.
I started this business because I am a farmer and I understand what farmers want to get better crop yields.
I advise farmers on seed varieties, types of fertilizers to apply and what types of herbicides to apply to crops.

I am a farmer and I also run a shop selling agricultural products.
I sell seeds, fertilizers, herbicides and sprayers. I also sell some of the crops which I grow at my farm, such as tomatoes and cabbages.
I started small, with a small vegetable garden and a water pump, which I bought using a loan I received from the community.
Thanks to the lenders I have now managed to open an agricultural shop.
Loan Proposal
I plan to use the money to purchase a new water pump to water my vegetable field.
I already own a second hand 1.5 HP water pump that i have used for other 5 years. This pump has helped to grow my business, but it keeps breaking down and i have to fix it.
The pump also consumes to much petrol and oil. This time i plan to purchase a 3HP diesel pump.
Income Source
My business is growing steadily and i have a loyal customer base, especially among the women vegetable traders and shop owners.
