I am Kevin Momanyi, Born in 1985. Am the third born in a family of six, three girls and three boys. Having no descent job after my father being released from his job due to uncontrolled drinking, my siblings and i had to work extra hard to provide some help to the family through farming. I managed to make some profit $100 as a result of sales of the farm produce eg, maize, bananas, potatoes, and onions. I used the savings to buy fifteen layers chicken which have multiplied to be 100 currently. My hobbies are playing football, watching documentaries, and planting trees in our homestead.
My business is that of rearing chicken. I started the business early 2013 with 15 chicks , and now proud to have 100 after selling more than 250 chicken and over 2000 eggs. I usually get a monthly profit of $100-250 less expenses that include feeds and medication. I therefore want to introduce rearing broilers. My savings are not enough to enable me commence this project, but with your help, i will use the $80 that you will lend me to buy 40 broiler chicks that cost $2 each. The remaining $50 will help me buy some chicken mesh, roofing sheet and nails since i already have timber to build an addition structure to rear the broilers. I promise to pay my loan in time and spread good news about Zidisha. Thanks for your help.
I am looking forward to expand my business to provide an alternative source of income. There is no doubt that through help from Zidisha lenders, my business has gained momentum hence becoming a very profitable business. I believe in investment diversification and hereby hope that through my second loan i will be able to achieve this. I am intending to use my second loan to venture into ( selling ready chicken meat) butchery . Like I said earlier, I have managed to grow both layers and broilers and would now want to blend my poultry farming achievement with chicken meat business to improve my income capacity. Therefore I am intending to purchase a digital weighing machine that will cost me $100, $ 120 to pay for a 1year business permit, and the remaining $336 will cater for buying more chicks and chick feeds . I will also use $150 of my savings to buy additional broilers for slaughter. This will enable me to provide those extra services since most of my customers need already slaughtered meat in different quantities. My new area of venture will serve all customers according to their taste and preferences depending on one's ability. I am hopeful that this new venture will expand my business and enhance my financial performance.
Regards.
