About Me

My name is Salifu Yakubu ,third born in a family of five.I started my primary education at Pentecost Primary and proceeded to Presbyterian High School.My parents are peasant farmers,therefore,we had a tough time growing because they could hardly meet our needs bearing in mind the large size of our family.but that notwithstanding,we managed to grow up and focused I still I'm to face life.I could no longer further my education due to lack of funds.i tried to search for a job in vain.My eldest brother came to my rescue after i requested him and gave me financial support to a tune 2,000.00 Cedis of which i used to set up a barber shop.i love watching football during my free time.

My Business

My business is basically a barber shop.I augment my earnings by charging mobile phones since everyone is not connected to electricity.besides this,i also sell scratch cards. which translates to approximately 30.00 cedis per week.i chose this business because people must to shave and groom to look pleasant in their looks.they also charge their phones,when they come to do shavings .i use my earnings to fend for my family and also do support my parents since they are now aging.

Loan Proposal

I would like to procure a new shaving machine for my business.this currently goes for $25 dollars.Having a new one will increase their number to 4,this will increase on my efficiency because customers wont have to wait for long to be served.consequently,the number of customers that i can serve on daily basis will increase.this will automatically increase my profits by approximately 20% to 30%profit.this will help me provide for my family better plus my parents.the remaining profits i will use to pay back the loan and plough back some into the business.
