About Me

I am a 25 year old Kenyan Citizen. I reside in Starehe Estate, just near the Safaricom Booster.
I come from a family of five, two boys and three girls.
I did my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2007, later on which I decided to follow my passion in African Art, Arte facts. I started my business early in 2008, where I used to work from home. As demand for my items grew, I secured a small shade along the busy Kenyatta Highway from where I operate till now.
I make all my items ranging from belts, chains, sandles etc with my own hands

My Business

My business mainly is through African attires, shoes, chains, sandles.
Within a month, I manage to get a minimum of Ksh. 10,000 profit after paying my two workers Ksh. 5000 a month each. This enables me cater for part of my family's expenses and also my upkeep. It has also enabled me join college to pursue a diploma in business administration as I want to run my business on professional grounds.
I target all walks of life, everything goes for the poor, middle class and the rich disregard of their age.
My customers prefer my items because of the unique designs I present to the market. I don't place high prices for the goods and always I ensure that my customers leave my premises satisfied.
The business is profitable in that I get to show case our African culture to the world. My mother's friends abroad are also my customers and on several occasions I get to send them and they pay me well, hence boosting the business.
The risk involved in the business is when hide and skine prices go up. This reduces our profit margins. Beads, which I mostly use, incase there is a shortage, it affects the business.
With my business, I will be comfortable to repay the loan Zidisha will offer to me.

Loan Proposal

Thanks Zidisha for this opportunity to post a loan.
i will use the loan ksh. 4000 to add stock to my business in purchasing beads, skin to use to make sandles, and also wth ksh 3500 to put up a more firm shade for my business and to enlarge it.
My shade has been shaky lately owng to the fact that t has stayed for long but now that am part of Zidisha, believe wth your assstance will be able to have a more rigid store in the near future.
Thank you. Please accept my proposal
