About Me

My name is Jenipher Achungo.i am a resident of Nakuru County,Kenya.I was born in the year 1979 at a place called Shikoko location in Kakamega County,Kenya.I started going to school in the year 1987-1994 in St.Paul's Primary School.Later in the year 1995,i joined Flamingo Secondary School,Nakuru, in form One.In the year 1998,I did my (K.C.S.E),Kenya certificate of Secondary Examinations.
In the year September,2005,i joined Kenya Institute of Management for my Diploma in Business Management and i graduated in the year 2007.I started looking for an employment within the City and in the year 2008,i was lucky to get one from Silicon Cyber Investments.I worked in a position of a supervisor until we were laid off in the year 2009,by the company management due to company's financial crisis.I worked for one year and five months only.That is when i decided to open my own business since i had some savings in my bank account.

My Business

My business deal with all types of Candy(sweets),biscuits,ground-nuts,scratch-cards(Safaricom,Airtel Yu,Orange airtimes)Cigarettes,local daily News papers,simu ya jamii and refilling gas cylinders.I started this business in the year 2010.My business is registered under the by-laws of Nakuru Municipal Council regulations.I started this immediately i got some money from my savings which i got from my former work.
You can buy all types of sweets and biscuits,ground-nuts among other products which are in today's Kenyan market.The other services you can get from my store are,you can buy a cooking gas cylinders.My customers oftenly come for my services since i do sell at a reasonable price and also provide free home delivery of the products.(refilled gas cylinders)
In the year November, 2011,i was loaned Ksh.50,000/= from the Vision Afrika Savings &Credits Co-Operative Society Ltd and repaid within 12 months time,which ran until December,2012.For now i do not hold any debt from any institution .That is why i was requesting from the Zidisha Micro finance to grant me a loan so that i can buy the goods in wholesale and in bulky and also buy the Gas cylinders in bulky so as to satisfy my customers needs and in large volumes.There is a high demand of the commodity,hence the Gas supply is very demanding in this area.Thank you and God bless you all.

Thank you so much Zidisha team and the lending panel for your continuous support you have demonstrated to my business.For the last loan,it really improved my business to a higher level and i do appreciate you so much for your support.
For this second loan,i am planning to add more gas cylinders due to the more demand and orders i have received from my clients for the much awaited Christmas season to be celebrated across the globe by the Christians.For sure i am proud to be among the zidisha big family and i thank you for your continuous and generous contributions towards my future entrepreneurship.Thank you and God bless you all.
