About Me

My name is Gerry Bico Oyuga. I am a 26 years old Kenyan. We are in a family of 4 boys. No parents. Life has not been for us for a long period since we were raised by a single parent until 2008 when she passed on.

My level of education i studied the O-Levels but unlikely i was not able to proceed to college due to lack of sponsorship. Am God fearing, humble, industrious, hardworking and very cordially with friends i meet.

Due to lack of funds, I started working for wages in the country's industrial area in 2009. After about one year, I chose to work in a cybercafe in Nairobi . I acquired computer skills while working in the cyber. I was saving to start a small business to have financial freedom. I was as little as Ksh. 100 (about one dollar) daily for 8 months. I got saved ksh 24, 000 ( 30 US dollars) for the entire period.

I bought a computer at ksh. 12 000 ( 150 dollars). I also bought a photocopier and paid my fast rent. I feel it good to be in control of my budget.

I like spending time with my brothers just to encourage them to work extra hard in order for us to succeed.
i do also like socializing with friends hence sharing of new ideas

My Business

I started the photocopy business in February last year (2014) . The business is located in Huruma Estate, near Redeemed Gospel Church and College. I have been able to manage it effectively despite financial challenges that the business had encountered in the past. I have one computer and a photocopy machine.

The business is capable of giving back good returns if it is well equipped. Currently, I only offer photocopy services and a few basic computer services. I intend to purchase a printer to offer photography services, scanning services, printing services, photocopy services. These services are in high demand given that the business is located near a college along the busy Juja Road.

Currently, I do not make much profit due to lack of a printer. On a good business day the business can generate Kshs. 500 ( 6 dollars) a day and on a bad business day it can generate approximately Kshs. 250 (3 dollars).
Given that all my siblings depend on me, I use most of this income to meet our basic needs. If I get a loan, I will be able to not only meet these family needs, but also expand the business to generate more income.

Loan Proposal

I take this special opportunity to submit my proposal to you for your financial assistance.
I need Ksh. 11, 000 (137 USD) to buy an efficient printer. The printer will help me to meet the needs of my clients and increase income. I have raised Ksh. 3000( 37 dollars. I now need Ksh. 8000 (100 USD).

I request for this support because it will take a long time to save the amount. In addition, the process of taking bank loan is difficult, and I may not qualify. I , therefore, request for your support and promise to uphold integrity .
