About Me

I was born in a family of three. Being the first, I have had to make sacrifices in order for my other siblings to have a chance to study, since my parents do casual job which are not so reliable.

After my O-levels, I worked in a clothing store, thereafter in a phone & accessories shop where I used to sell phones and operate m-pesa [mobile money transfer]. After there, I was employed as a cyber[cafe] attendant, where I gained passion for the cyber business.

Later I bought a desktop and a printer with which I started with my printing and type setting job, which I operate today.

My Business

My business involves printing, typesetting, writing people's projects and solving other business printing issues. I also help people in making online job applications and accessing various government services like applying for a KRA PIN or driving license. My typical costs are papers, offices space, electricity, and internet. I normally use my profits to support my family and siblings who are still in school.

Loan Proposal

I intend to utilized this loan by repairing some of my computers were recently damaged by power interruption, add stock of printing materials, carry out some maintenance work on all computer and old work stations.
My budget is $320 plus $208 being my top up contribution to the MLF, total loan request is $528. The details for the $320 is detailed as follows;
1. Repairing 5 damaged monitors at a cost of $ 20 each total cost $100.
2. Buy a power surge protector at a cost of $40.
3. Upgrade the speed of five computers by increasing their RAM size at a cost of
$12 each total cost $60 .
4. Repair to old workstations $70.
5. Additional stock of printing materials $50.
These repair and maintenance works will increase my profit margins because the ideal computers will now start being utilized as well as the old work stations will look more presentable to the customers. In addition, by adding the RAM size of the computers, customers will also stop complaining that the computers are hanging .
