About Me

I am 36 years old single mother born and bred in a rural village of Kenya which is 25kms from the capital city. My parents took me to school for my primary, secondary, and college education. I had a desire to attain an undergraduate degree and therefore I strained as much as I could to take myself through university and I graduated in 2015. It was not easy to pay for a university degree but through field sales jobs I managed to pay for my education.
Back in 2013, I was straining so much to get to work as all my income was dedicated to my education and that's when I felt the need to come up with a side business. I started baking from home, doing birthday cakes and snacks for my colleagues to cater for my transport and that is when Quigee Bakery was born and it was officially registered in 2016.
In the village where I have lived all my life, people believe in unity and supporting one another. There is no personally problem, people always believe in helping one another. Respect, diligence, hard work, and integrity are very key as that is what I have been brought up with all my life. All this core values are very important to be passed on to other generations and therefore I ensure I teach the same to my children.
My children desire to become mechatronic engineers and it is my desire that I will be able to give them the support they require to realize their dreams.
During my free time I read and write a lot and my sons like drawing so nature walks also become part of our hobbies to gain ideas and for peace and serenity.

My Business

My main income source is my baking as I have been getting continuous orders for birthday and other functions cakes, lately I have introduced doughnuts and queen cakes as a daily income avenue. I compliment the income from the money I get from my cereal shop. I have also invested in a cleaning business as a co-founder, a company that was registered in February this year. This is all with a desire to diversify and invest in different avenues and therefore spreading my risks.

Loan Proposal

I have a few orders, I need to buy stuff to make cakes for sale. I get my profit pay some amount to the loan and plough back the rest.

I got delayed payment that affected the expected days of my loan repayment. I should be receiving a payment in the course of coming week and I will honour my loan in full.

I am a home baker and the fund went along way in helping me grow my business. Started with one cake and I am growing capacity and I hope to keep growing until I am able to open a small bakery

I received a loan of 1583 to revive my cake business. I bought enough fruits to last me 5 orders. Thanks for the loan, I plan to pay back promptly.

    Best regards,
    Eunice.

I will add 4 more indigenous chicken to increase eggs that I sell to my cake business. The sale will help me buy feeds for the chicken and I will save the extra to buy more chicken.
