About Me

I am aged 40 years now and I am blessed with a family whose members total to seven. My children are all attending school at different stages. Personally I am a primary school graduate without any further level of education. I could not proceed further because then I was single parented staying with only my mother who had no job so paying my school fees was a nightmare. After attaining primary school certificate I moved to the city to train as a driver and later through the help of my uncle I got hands on experience in spray painting. These spray painting skills landed me a job in a company where I worked up to the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when I got retrenched from the same job. While working in the company I was able to save money and bought 3 motorcycles whose operations gave me even more funds that saw me buy a personal car that currently is a taxi and my source of income.

My Business

I own a taxi which I am as well the operator in the city of Nairobi Kenya. I have been in the business since post COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, I used the car for personal purposes untill I lost my job due to retrenchment from my employment in the same period of COVID-19 outbreak. Being the only person upon which not only my family but also extended family depended on, life became so difficult without a source of income. I therefore thought of turning into a taxi business which is up to date is my only source of income. At the moment my car is not in operation due to mechanical failure. I haven't been able to finance it's repair because this just happened at a time when I had just settled school fees for my three high school going children so I was drained off all my savings. I am appealing for funds to aid me undertake the repair and get back on business since dwelling in the city is not eazy without income. The burden of bills is the city environment is a huge challenge if you have no source of income.

Project Proposal

My intention is to purchase spare parts and pay service fee in order to have the mechanical faults in my taxi fixed. According to diagnosis report from mechanic, there is need to replace a few worn out spare parts and as well as pay for the service rendered. Thus this funds will help solve the problem at hand. This will thus enable me to get back to work and continue earning income as well as supporting my family.
