I'm a passionate entrepreneur who continually seeks for opportunities for growth.
I chose the food sector owing to the fact that food is non seasonal and a mandatory item on the family budget.
Currently, I'm doing farming with an aim of combining farming and agricultural products supply in the near future.
I'm seeking a partnership with lenders from the Zidisha forum for now and in the future expansion of this promising business.
My Business
Currently, I have diversified into farming. Agriculture is an evergreen industry and is the backbone of my country's economy.
People must eat irrespective of the economic conditions of the time.
Peas have a huge demand in Kenyan towns especially in Nairobi and Mombasa. I have started farming this economically sustainable crop in Nyandarua County which is one of the main peas-producing counties due to the cold climate that suits the crop. Since there are many farmers here, market is readily available because resellers are guaranteed a supply of peas all year round.
Nyandarua is also moderately populated and this ensures availability of agricultural land for lease.
I have the technical know-how and the passion for success in Agriculture. I hope to utilise the funding I get from zidisha to gradually expand my farming enterprise.
Project Proposal
I have found peas farming as a profitable business that gives returns within 3 months.
I am requesting for funds to lease some extra land to expand my peas farming business and buy some quality seeds for the project.
I will utilise the funds as follows:
Leasing 2 acres of land at Kes 20000 each p.a = 40000
Certified seeds @ Kes 1000 per kg × 32 = 32000
Total estimate:KES 72000
