My name is Julius Malala Ondoro. Am a kenyan citizen of 46 years by age. I come from western Kenya. formally the Nyanza region in Siaya county. currently am staying in Kisumu Mamboleo area in kisumu county. kisumu is the 2nd largest city in Kenya majorly occupied by the luo community among the 42 ethnic communities in Kenya.
I started my education in Migosi primary school within Kisumu town and later proceeded to Kisumu day secondary school in the same town. I then proceeded to Eldoret polytechnic college where I graduated with a diploma in community development.
I am married with three children currently in the ages of 14, 12 and eleven. my first born has done the final exam in class eight and is awaiting admission in high school in January 2019The second in grade 6 and the last in grade 5 I have an adopted child also in primary 5 both the children are in private schools due to frequent teachers strikes in public schools my country.
I'm employed in a small hospital in kenya assisting as community liaisons officer to the hospital, I do have a regular income of 350 Dolars which i use to keep the family going, this helps in general house keep and also pay for the children school fees, mostly the school fees is in arrears due to high competing demands for the money I earn. I also have two kids from my late brother who are in college now all now under my care.
i do have a small bussines which I run my business is registered in kenya under the name Mississippi merchants.it is located within kisumu currently it is co hosted at winmart next to maseno university plaza while the technical unit is at my area of residence/ compound in Mamboleo.
Mississippi is a general supplier business majoring in general printing.
Textile printing
the bussiness is picking up in a slow pace due to my divided attention and capital to stock the required materials. I have also invested in fish farming as my community depends much on fish as a staple diet. This is a new venture to assist me in the ever increasing economic demands.
to cope up with the daily demands especially of school fees I mostly ask for small loans from micro- finance institutions. all of this money go into school fees and children uniforms.
My first born whom zidisha helped me at some point to pay for primary shook fees has done his finale exams in primary and passed with good grades. He has been admitted in one of the best high schools in our region. The admission demands are a bit overwhelming, the requirements are much and I do feel that with loan from Zidisha I will be able to subsidise most of the needs including school fees for first term. with the income from my employment and the little I get from my Bussines on printing I do hope to repay back in time.
