My name is Benard Ochieng from Siaya Town, Kenya. Currently I am advancing my studies in college; pursuing Electrical Engineering (which I joined September 2018).I have employed someone to manage the business for me and I make sure we meet everyday to calculate sales during weekdays. Am self driven, hardworking and always keen on business finances, in addition I love reading business journals and always interested in technological advances especially those that directly or indirectly affect my field of expertise.
I started this business January 2016 after graduating from high school and have been operating it to date. I started with one computer a small inkjet printer. To date I have acquired 2 desktop computers and a laptop, One big laser jet photocopier and a medium size printer (both black and white) and also Epson printer (bought on June 2018). This is business is growing as I projected in the business plan at infancy. When launched I was taking making Ksh. 400 per day which is ksh. 11250 (112 USD) per month. Today my sales have risen to an average of Ksh. 1200 per day which is Ksh. 36,000 (360 USD) monthly. This has largely been contributed by efficiency of my services and suitable location.
I am planning to buy ream of photocopying papers. A ream of paper costs about 4USD. This money will be able to acquire 3 ream of papers. In return one ream will bring a revenue of at least 5USD exclusive of the purchasing price. So 3 reams of paper will therefore generate total revenue of 15USD. This is based on hypothetical scenario in which I assume that all the reams are used for photocopying but in some will be used in printing which in turn will increase the revenue because printing price is 3 times higher that photocopying
