i am Rebecca from Ghana. Born to Mr and Mrs Kipo in Bole a town located in the northern region of Ghana. i grew up with my parents and some other relatives. i started my education in Saint Kizito Nursery to the junior high school. while at primary school and junior high, i help my parents sell water and go to the farm on weekends. Through God's grace and hard work, i was fortunate to gain admission to saint Francis Girls Senior high school in the upper west region of Ghana. i spent four years studying General science. while in school, during holidays, i help my parents in selling ice cream and water. I sometimes visit my auntie who sells clothes and help her sell in the market. my Auntie with time gave me some few second hand clothes to start with for my own business so my younger siblings sold the clothes for me during market days when i am in school. This was to support me in my education. while doing this i was also rearing poultry. where i was channeling the profit i make in the sold of the poultry into buying more clothes for sale. after my Senior high school exams, i hard admission to the university.
where i live has lots of tourist sites. the people in this area hold their culture to a high esteem as a result lots people come to learn their culture especially the local clothes made there.
My main business as at now is my clothing business which i am trying to expand. i buy clothes of all types from second hand clothes to store clothes. i buy from main suppliers or other retailers. Mostly i sell the clothes in the area where i live but send them to market to during market days to sell. the clothes includes range from kids wear to adult wear. I do home delivery for people too. the demand for second hand clothes is in high demand due to the socioeconomic status of the people. most people depend on these second hand clothes because they come cheaper and quality than the the store clothing. i chose this business because i have being in the business since childhood. i have also develop interest in this business due to my love for fashion.
profits i make from this clothing business is used in getting more clothes for sale and some for my school fees. I also have a mini poultry farm which mostly i channel the money into buying clothes.
Sales for my clothes is a little low especially during rainy days and and dusty seasons. Most of the clothes become very dirty bringing patronage to it's barest minimum. As a result, i want to use the money to rent a temporary space or shop for for my business. Also, i am ran out of stock for new clothes for that matter i need to buy new clothes to help me get back actively to business and to buy new clothes for sale.
1. Shop or space amount to be paid each month is 3.75 dollars
2. kids shirts is 2.5 dollars
3. Female under wears 1.25 dollars
This loan will help me stay actively in business and will help my business grow. and i believe it will help me sustain my business since i will be able to acquire a temporary shop or space. i will also be able to raise more money for my school fees. my siblings who are helping me will be able to also open their own business with time.
I expect to make a profit of not less than 0.75 dollars a day.
