My name is zipporah. am a wife and a mother of two. growing up in a small village of meru county i always watched my dad go to his shop, i would accompany him during weekends and holidays. this is where my interest for business began. Have been wanting to raise capital to start a business but school fees for my kids have been taking all my money. my desire is to start a bookshop where I can be selling books and other stationery. In future God willing am planning to start a library back at home as a way of giving back to the community. Would appreciate if zidisha team can assist me do the same.
Am planning to set up a bookshop where I will be selling books and other stationery. The books include both text books and exercise books, rulers, pens and other stationery. This business will cater for all types of books starting from primary level. my source of income will be from loans from zidisha and also saved part of my savings for this
My business deals with hiring of tents and chairs during different events like weddings and parties. I also do the venue decorations, vehicles and even churches.
Given this loan, I will purchase 50 more chairs which goes for ksh 500 each and materials to decorate the chairs that will cost me ksh 3000. This will help in the expansion of the business. This will help cut shortage of tents and chairs in my business especially during peak seasons like April, august and December where clients hire these tents in large numbers. The additional chairs will bring a margin profit of ksh 5000 per month and this money will be used in the expansion of my business.
