I am a caterer, writer and a musician who is studying mass communications in AUSI, Nairobi. I am gifted in many ways but my focus right now as a single mother of two is stability. That is how I came up with MLO Africa, my food business which enables me to provide affordable office lunches. My two sons are my pride and joy. I want them to be the best they could ever be. Aside from music, journalism and cooking I enjoy networking, fashion, swimming, photography, taekwondo and my alltime blessing motherhood. I am based in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. I appreciate the opportunities that emerge here daily to young, brilliant minds who can create, develop and excel beyond their challenges.
MLO Africa is a small food franchise that provides affordable, wholesome meals to offices. I am still working on my website but my Facebook page " MLO Africa" can show you my exact approach to what I do and what I want my brand to embody. Whenever it is possible I cook for small gatherings and for invalids as well as bachelors; people who need good food but are unable to make it themselves. I make an average of 1500 per lunch time and up to 4000 per event. Events are however still a rarity for me due to logistics but I intend to fix this in the near future as my business continues to thrive. I am very optimistic despite the fact that I am yet to attain my full potential because nothing good was built easy nor in a day. This loan will help me get to upgrade my stock so that I don't have to use part of my daily profits to buy stock. Eventually I intend on paying my school fees balance and expanding my brand. Once clients take a liking to my food it becomes a priority for them to eat it. For that reason it is a viable business with the potential to grow immensely. Thank you in advance Zidisha. I look forward to a wholesome experience together as my eventual desire is to become a lender on this platform as well someday.
My loan is going into inventory for my catering business so that it can begin to sustain itself as it is supposed to. This includes
1: dry grains
rice 20kgs - 22$
corn flour 10kgs - 10$
wheat flour 10kgs - 12$
beans 5kgs - 6$
lentils 5kgs - 6$
dried peas 4kg -3$
2. I also need cooking oil 10ltrs - 15$, charcoal - 5$
herbs, spices, marinade - 10$
a hot pot set -25$
and 100 business cards - 10$.
3. I will budget for a weekly supply of assorted meats and vegetables which I will refrigerate to preserve with whatever remains after the tee shirts.
4. Lastly, my employee and I need an extra set of MLO Africa tee shirts to be presentable to the customers we visit. 10$
