my name is maria from Medan. My songket business has become a family business with a hereditary tradition to make traditional cloth with this cloth songket tool, which is often used for traditional events. but following its development, it can be used as a daily fashion. Songket cloth suits are often called tumtuman, some are made of cotton etc. I have been running a songket weaving business for 10 years. the price is very expensive because it is still done manually with a processing time of 2-8 weeks I want to promote Indonesian songket fabrics to foreign markets and can become a global fashion trend My business was started from a very small initial capital and I used to work at the fashion house for the sewing of the kebaya and my expertise from childhood was songket weaving.

My Business

I have a workshop at home where there are 3 people who do the production of songket with traditional looms to make songket cloth manually, there are 4 looms. In addition, we also accept sewing kebaya, songket & sequins for various weddings or traditional events next door. our house has a shop to display the results of this songket weave and we also promote it online and participate in exhibitions in various cities the price of ordinary songket cotton for perkodi 20 pcs IDR 75,000 For songket 500,000 up to 1500000 IDR made of semi silk or whatever genuine silk a month we can sell 100 kodi ..and make 10-20 songket weaving orders our profit is 2x the production cost in 1 month I can get a net profit of 15,000,000 IDR in the monthly fixed operations of the shop & workshop

I need a loan capital to buy a sewing machine 1 again because after I open a new workshop to receive special sewing kebaya, songket & payet. Sewing machine price around 1.300.000 IDR and the machine is useful to speed up the work of my employees in serving customer orders fast and excellent service is in need given the many customers who make large orders at once for weddings or traditional events. So that the addition of sewing machine unit is very time efficient. The quicker it gets. saya sudah 10 th menjalankan bisnis tenun songket..corak khas kain songket ini membuat kain produksi saya memiliki nilai seni yang tinggi..dan harga nya sangat mahal karena masih di kerjakan secara manual dengan waktu pengerjaan 2-8 minggu

saya ingin mempromosikan kain songket khas indonesia sampai ke pasar luar negeri dan bisa menjadi trend fashion yang mendunia

Usaha saya rintis dari modal awal yang sangat kecil .dan saya dulu bekerja di rumah mode untuk bagian mejahit kebaya serta keahlian saya dari kecil adalah menenun kain songket.
