About Me

My name is Theophilus Mensah Serkeh from the Volta region of Ghana
I have my basic education at western region a village called Boinso in the Aowin Suaman district. My parents are into farming (cocoa)
Currently I am with credit Union and need fund to establish my own business which is soap making.
I was trained by Vodafone vim project. But money to purchase the materials is somehow problem.

I know with a little support from zidisha I can be my own boss.

My Business

I now want to start the soap making business
Because I have the skills but the materials to start the business is a problem
I will be glad if the loan will be granted to me to invest in my ongoing soap business

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy soap making materials
Because the loan in not much to start on large grounds, my wife and I start the project for now.
We will do door to door distribution and find market for the product.
When people show interest in the product and it gain large market and will the help zidisha, we can create employment for others to take in charge of the sales and other activities.
It is my dream to repay the loan within the giving period in other secure further loans in the future.

I have been always speaking with Theophilus Mensah on the loan balance. He is my colleague at the work place. He told me that he has a Membership Loan Fund (MLF) which can be used to pay off the loan balance. Thus, he ia asking that the Membership Loan Fund should be used to defray the loan balance. Please, let us the challenges, if any, in using the membership loan fund to pay off the loan balance. Thank you.

      Dear Kwaku,

According to my knowledge this isn’t possible. More info can be found on the Borrowes FAQ.
      www.zidisha.org/faq#faq-69

You first have to repay the loan and afterwards you are able to ask for a refund of the MLF and the Credit Risk fees.

      Kind regards,
      Joost

I spoke with Theophilus Mensah Serkeh and has agreed that his membership loan fund should be used to defray his outstanding loan. Theophilus does not want to apply for any loan again because he does not to commit himself.
    Thank you.

    Hello, Theophilus Mensah Serkeh,

For information about what the Discussion page is for--(it's *not* for asking the Staff for help)--and to learn the correct place to ask the Staff for help, please read: www.zidisha.org/forum-threa...
    [forum-thread/1550#comment-5595]

Also, please don't confuse lenders with Zidisha Staff.
Although some members of the Staff also are lenders, most lenders are *not* on the Staff. Lenders contribute money to help fund loans. Zidisha Staff handles all of the administrative functions.

Please do not reply to me here, as I won't be notified of your reply.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Laurie

I spoke with Theophilus Mensah Serkeh and he explained that he did not want to access another loan, thus part of his membership loan fund should be used to defray his outstanding loan balance.
Again, he told me that the reason why he did not want to apply for another loan is due to the risk fund that is deducted from the loan. He asked for more explanation on the risk fund deduction but no explanation was given. He therefore would wish to discontinue with Zidisha Organisation.
Moreover, he would like to thank you and the cherished lenders for the support in terms of loans to support his businesses.
    Thank you.

Please kindly let me know the amount I should make to the membership fund in order to help close my loan account

    Good morning lenders
Please the fess chargd on my new loan is too much and need clarification to it.
Because I taken a loan of Ghs 492 and charging a fee of Ghs 75 render the loan to be expensive.
If I continue to with you with this high fees charged I will run at a lost and can not finance my project.

Please kindly explain to me the meaning credit risk payment? You said the loan is free and only charge 5% on the loan and why and charges again?
Please if indeed you want to help African then kindly do something about it please.
If I'm not convince then will take my membership fund paid and return your loan back to you.
