About Me

My name is Ignatius Erick Nyongesa,I was born and raised iin Busia County in western kenya.I schooled iin Abgorom primary school and later proceed to Busia Secondary school.
After completing secondary school,I tried looking for a white coller job in vain. I joined a local youth group and with support from government and local NGO ,we were trained on commercialized,poultry farming.I was told to construct a poultry unit so that i could be supplied with 100 layers.with no money for construction I approached Shylock who gave me loan. I am currently the only supplier of eggs to my neighborhood and the demand is overwhelming.
I have 4 children ,they all attend local primary school.I always encourage them to work hard so that they can achieve there dreams.
my hobbies including reading motivational books and soccer.

My Business

My business involves poultry farming.I keep layers and provide eggs to my clients. I ensure eggs are clean and delivered to clients on time and as per their requirements.
The demand for eggs has risen steadily due to increase in price to other source of proteins ,like beef and chicken.In order to have balanced diet most families prefer to have eggs. Reduced supply of vegetables have also contributed to higher demand for poultry and poultry products.
My expenses in a month are about $200 for feeds and vaccinations.my revenues range from$300-$350.In a good month I make $150 in profit.
I use my profits for savings,paying fees and other general expenses. I also contribute towards our youth group empowerment programme,that involves youth sensitization on commercial farming.
