About Me

Am geoffrey ngunyi a male of 22 years of age..Born in 1992..in Kenya rift valley province transnzoia county in lesson sub location.my family consisted of four
girls and two boys..at my place the land is well known for its high production of maize and agriculture..the land was claimed to be fertile so that's why
people at my place took farming as there first priority..my family was not that rich.i had passed a lot of troubles while am still young..during that time
my both parents were farmers.i joined nursery after a couple of years meaning that i was lucky..during those times education was just like nothing to
parents who never knew what it meant.my school was approximately three kilometers from our home area.Going to school was a major challenge because i was
not used to waking up early..instead i used to help my brothers in taking the groat heard that my dad had to fields.during my first year in school things
were not what i took them to be..life there was hard..i had been normally used to access food anytime but there things changed.no food,no sleeping no use
of mother tongue..it was that harsh..but i managed because i truly knew that my parents had great faith in me.it took me almost a whole month to manage
and overcome the challenges.i was the last born so i was given all the privileges.my mum always encouraged me.i got through the primary education.i
joined high school.life there was totally different..i met new people who saw no mercy on me.i do recall well i lost all my belongings during the first
week..it was that bad.i tried as much as possible to cope with the environment there but to be frank it was not the way i thought it will i got myself used
to the tiresome routines soon enough first i was not serious with books until i realized that i had approximately two years remaining.that is the time
i realized things were not good..but all in all i worked extra hard..i put an place measures that made things work the way that they are now.on
the last year i waited for my last exam then things didn't work the way i excepted.i passed but it was not that much as i waited.i once again got home after
the exam..i had to go to fields.help my mum make some farming.

My Business

i got through with my studies little did i know i was from the frying pan now to the fire its self..life out there was like a nightmare.i tried many things
at least so that it can get me a single coin but all was in vain.i stayed at home desperately for a month until when i sat down for a moment and came to my senses.
by that time there was a cousin of mine who was living in kitale town..he used to have a shoe repair center..but after a short period he graduated and now he
owns a very big shoe outlet in town..actually it was the largest out let by that time..i packed my things and left my belongings and left with no ones notice.
life at his place was fare.i joined his workers and in turned i could be given some coins. approximately 200 ksh.i had been taught how to make simple savings.
.i saved a lot until when i decided to start my one shoe shop.truly i started with a very low capital at around 2000 ksh.i bought several pairs of shoes of
which i sold then at double the price i had bought..at first it didn't work out as i had expected..after a couple of weeks i had spotted a place that i can
access new shoes with low capital..i started having less customers until now that am better off.now i sell men shoes, ladies shoes, boots, scarfs, open sandals.
i also intend to introduce imported shoes and other footwear . the shoes are nice and fast moving here at my place because they are new and attractive, secondly
is that they are leather.so people are in need of them because they can last for long making them durable.that is in dry and wet times they do very well.i
also like the business because it is less time and space consuming..like for instance i am capable of getting new shoes from our neighboring country at
very low prices.when i get here they are on fashion and at times i sell them thrice the buying price..of which t is very encouraging.actually a full
bundle of new shoes cost at around 20,000 Kenyan shillings...then within a range of one and half a month i sell them making a profit of around
35000 Kenyan money...i at times send the money to my family back at home.i use the profit to get new stock..i send the remaining to my sister who is still
at school..i help her to clear her school fees.i also use the same profit in catering some of my needs..the rest i save in my bank account

Loan Proposal

Am planning on adding stock on my shop and also looking up to open a new shoe shop around town by doing this i will increas my sales and my profit to move on and doing better and great day by day, am also in plans to import new dizines from other countres like uganda and tanzania for more markeing.
