I am a married man named Mamoud Saha, born 1975 in Bobo-Dioulassa in the Houet province, which is the economic capital of my country, Burkina Faso. I am a tailor by profession. I come from a poor family where my father had two wives, so us children were seven in total, four boys and three girls, of which I am the youngest. It was hard to get a meal each day and I wasn't able to finish school due to lack of money, so I decided to learn a trade to make a living and this trade was sewing. Today, I've been able to open my own sewing shop. I'm also married and I have two children, one son and one daughter who are both in school, and I'm very happy in my present home!
Thanks to the business I do today, which is sewing traditional outfits that are made from locally-made cotton cloth called "Faso Danfani," I have my own sewing workshop and I've had it for 16 years. I have three employees to whom I pay $100 a month, and rent costs $100 a month, and all this is thanks to my sewing work, since I invest $2,000 in each bulk purchase of traditional fabric and I sew them into several kinds of ready-to-wear outfits to sell them on the local market. On each outfit sold I gain a profit of $15-20. When I make my monthly evaluation, I find that I make a profit of more than $1,000, and with this revenue I am able to pay my employees and take care of other expenses. Most of all, thanks to this business I am able to see many of my dreams come true, and I want to make more come true in the future!
I will invest the loan in my sewing workshop, to develop my activity further by ordering more "Fasso danfani" fabrics and make ready-to-wear outfits for sale on the local market, and so earn a huge profit and be able to pay off the loan on time. Thank you!
