About Me

My name is Philibert Sanou, I was born on April 30,1969 in Koumi in the Houet province, that is 15km away from the second largest city in Burkina Faso, Bobo Diolasso. I am from a poor family composed of 5 boys and a girl. The oldest and the youngest died. We all went to school, I personally studied until 5th grade because my parents could not afford more so five years later I decided to go back to school in order to graduate from elementary school and middle school. I went until 8th grade, where I could not take the BEPEC exam. Right after that, I was in training for a month on chicken vaccinations and after that I was helping my father in the fields and I also was a photographer to make a living. In 2004, I launched a bookshop business and I can really make a living out of it.

My Business

Thanks to this business that is a bookshop I can really make a living. I could afford to buy a vehicle, which is a Ninja motorcycle worth $1000. I pay the rent for my bookshop that is $25 and my house where I sleep that is $20. I buy some books for $5 or $10 and I can make a $2 or $3 profit on them, because each month I sell 30 to 40 books at the local market. So if you think about it I have a $250 income, so with this monthly income I can pay for the loan and with the help of Zidisha I want to invest more in the bookshop to have a bigger monthly income. I also sell food products and when I invest $200 in merchandise I make a $30 profit.

Loan Proposal

I am going to invest this second loan in nutritional prods, for the loan will allow me to order a lot of nutritional products and be able to sell them at the local market and make me an enormous revenue and be able to pay it back on time, thanks!

About Me

My Business

Hello Morten, in fact this first loan is to invest in the installation of electricity in my library, and with the following loans invest in the innovation of my library by constructing a shed and placing cobblestone in front, then buy a refrigerator to sell drinks and also sell recharge cards and set up office. Thanks!
