About Me
My names are Edward Otieno being born and brought up in a family of
six siblings,being the fourth born in our family ,My parents are both
Christians where my father and mother are both Elders in the Church,I
went to Nyando Primary School and later joined Kisumu High School for
my Secondary School Education,after completion i joined Kimathi
Technical for my Diploma in Sales & Marketing.After completing my
studies i was privileged to work as a sales representative with Molo
milk company in Nakuru Town for six months on a contract basis.I later
moved to my parents farm in Kitale where i started practicing small
scale farming.I started by planting kales ,spinach and carrots and
selling them to the locals .I am a dedicated Christian and i do serve
as an Usher in our Church ,i love reading magazines ,farming practices
,making new friends and reading the Bible.
My Business
Since i moved to my parents farm and started the small scale farming
,i have been to farming since then ,i have been planting kales
,spinach and carrots in half an Acre farm which my father subdivided
to me ,the last two years i been practicing this farming and saving
the money to my account , i talked to my father to
increase the farm for me and make it One Acre at a cost ,i.e i rented
the farm ,the one acre from my father,on this farm i planted maize
,beans and peas in the farm.In this place of Kitale maize farming do
so well and the yield is so good ,on this one acre farm i am expecting
to harvest about 25 bags of maize which will give me good
returns,beans did so well and i will be selling them to the NCPB (
National Cereals & Produce Board )this will enable me to focus so well
on the move of acquiring my own farm later in the year for the next
year farming.Currently i am in the process of adding C.A.N and
pesticides to the maize yield which is now that has remained on the
farm for the good produce.The money that i will get from the sale of
the beans i will pay for the deposit of the farm that i want to buy
and complete paying for the same later in the year after i harvest the
maize because i have made arrangement with the seller of the farm,also
the money will help me to cater for my upkeep and have some money to my
