About Me

I am Oliver Barasa, 28 years old and currently an entrepreneur and student, I come from a quite complex family of 13 siblings, I had to be separated from my mother when I was only 4 years old to live with my father and a step mother, so my childhood was quite rough. My early days in school were quite tough only brightened by the fact that I was a sharp learner. I remember going to school without breakfast my entire school life, because to us, it was nothing more than a luxury. I completed my high school, excelled but I couldn’t raise fees for my college, so, I had to work for several businesses to raise funds for my college, after which I joined Kenya Seed Company as a casual employee from 2010 to 2013 when my tenure expired. I decided to start my own small business of selling Clothes from the savings I had accrued during my time at Kenya Seed Company, currently am pursuing my bachelors degree at a local university as a part time student as I operate my business.

My Business

I operate a clothing shop whereby I sell clothes to both male and female clients including shoes and women handbags, my main target are the middle class population which constitutes the highest percentage of the total population of the town where I operate my shop.
I am well able to repay the loan from my business, as people are always looking to get the latest trends in fashion, so they keep coming and that means good business for me. I can pay my bills from the business and I have also been assisting my siblings to try n propagate them to the same level as myself, so that means the business is doing quite well.

Loan Proposal

In view of the growing customer base in my line of business, there is need for me to bolster my stocks to accommodate the growing number of clients with diverse needs, I currently make an average of $300, which I use to pay for bills and other operation costs, which cant leave much room for expansion and growth. I have several orders pending from clients ,mostly students from local universities and employees of local firms, am under pressure to service these orders, but I am stuck at the moment because my current financial position won't let me, in order to do this, I need $600 to be able to service the orders, which will go a long way in increasing my revenue hence contributing to the growth and expansion of the business and also assist in servicing of my College fees and continue supporting my family. Will highly appreciate consideration for my proposal.
