i am a 21 years old man who is single my names are zebedec otieno. i am a Kenyan citizen. a have been in business since the completion of my secondary education. i am a Berber by profession.though currently employed as a barber, i would like to start my on barber shop. even though i privately own one, it is far from what is expected of a barber shop. the monthly turn overs are as low as KES 45000. however the profit margins are encouraging at an average of KES24000. the profits i save in order to allow me open a more superior one that is well equipped and furnished.the business is located in whitehouse estate.

My Business

my business currently support itself and excess goes into savings for future expansion as one of the short term objectives.because i don't directly do the work, i have employed one staff. the business is located in whitehouse estate. we currently handle an average of 30 clients per day.i have a monthly turn over of KES 45000 and an average monthly profit of KES 24000. i however would like to have an improvement on this.the risks are limited to appliance breakdown.with very few people investing towards this business, i would say it is profitable as in most cases it would appear like we are enjoying monopoly.other than running the business, i am employed and this would serve as security towards loan repayment.

Loan Proposal

i will use KES 3500 to buy a new clipper machine.i will use the remaining amount to purchase two chairs in order to increase on the number of customers handled at a time.part of this remaining amount will go into repair of one clipper machine that is currently out of service.with more than three machines in use, i expect an increase in monthly turnover that eventually translate into increased annual turn over.
